We're super excited to announce the next project, Awne.

"Awn": Y-awn, L-awn

Awne is a mobile app that turns your unique interests into a personal search engine for your daily news, every day. It removes the noise and gives you only the updates you care about; we call them Briefs.

This post is rather image-heavy and depicts an early version/prototype. Nothing here is final and is all completely subject to change.

Your daily brief is created in the quiet hours before 8am, and served to you every day. You manually input your exact interests for Awne to process. You no longer pick from a list, but type it instead.

For the users who are on iPhone, you'll notice a daily Live Activity to let you know your brief is available.

Your interests are unique, so we plan to allow you to customise Awne to improve your overall experience. Some of this will include, but not limited to:

• Cover art

• Text-to-speech voices

• Background music

• Background sounds

We want your morning brief to be as unique as you—over time, we'll ensure Awne can be customised to fit the exact same theme you'd enjoy hearing every day.

We've enjoyed approaching Awne with a specific design style in mind, paying respect to old print, while modernising and improving upon the method of which you obtain the news you most care about.

Interests vary, which can include the device you listen to your brief on. Because of this, we're co-developing Awne to function on iOS and Android. Naturally, iOS features such as Live Activity will be limited to the platform, but we're keeping an open mind into what each platform is capable of.

We're super excited to show you more of Awne the further it gets in development. Information regarding accessibility, pricing and so fourth will be announced at a later date. The technology used to make Awne possible is relatively intensive, and the testing period will be reduced to internally selected individuals with a limited and/or paid public beta.
